I love the people in this profession. I work with so many incredibly smart, caring, and impactful clients and consultants across the world. So many opportunities exist for continuing to improve our impact as a profession and I find that very exciting. We have the power to impact our culture and teams, our clients, and communities in a massive way.

How have you personally seen the roles of women evolve in the accounting profession?

Women are increasingly being promoted into top leadership positions and continuing to become more visible in leadership positions which is incredible. There are so many brilliant women in this profession. We are seeing more firms recognize the contributions of female professionals than ever. This will continue to increase.

What do you anticipate will be the biggest change in the accounting profession in the next 10 years?

Business model changes including adapting team member experiences and expectations. The adoption of AI and technology will continue to be a game-changer. Firms that adopt needed changes in a timely manner will outperform those who do not. Consolidation and private equity will impact many operational areas and we must be agile to remain competitive

What is your favorite professional mobile app, and why?

Microsoft Teams as it enables me to remain productive and in touch no matter where I am. Connectivity is very important as I am focused on responding to team members and clients in a timely manner.
